# ブレイクアウト

> ブレイクアウトとは、それまで価格を抑えていた水準——レンジ高値、前日の高安、保ち合いの端——を超えた時点でポジションを取る手法です。前提は、その水準が注文の流れをせき止めており、超えた瞬間に一方向へ解放されるという見立てです。ブレイクの多くは失敗するため、この戦略を決めるのは水準の選び方ではなく、失敗した場合にどれだけ速く手を引くかです。

A breakout rule is three decisions, and only the third is unusual:
  · Level — what counted as the boundary, and over what window
  · Trigger — a touch, a close beyond, or a hold for N periods
  · Invalidation — the return inside the range that says it failed

## だましのほうが基本形

レンジを抜けた価格がすぐ内側へ戻るのは例外ではなく最も普通の結果です。ブレイクで入った参加者は誤った側に取り残され、その投げが逆方向へ水準を突き抜ける動きを生みます。したがってブレイクアウト規則にはエントリーと同じだけ厳格な無効化条件が必要です。ここでは間違いの代償が徐々にではなく即座に支払われるからです。

## 本物とノイズを分けるもの

一般的なフィルターは参加度と継続性です。ブレイク時に出来高が増えたか、水準の外側で一定時間とどまったのか単に触れただけか、直前の保ち合いが実際にポジションを溜めるだけ長かったか。どれも単独では決め手にならず、すべてを要求する規則は最も速い相場をまるごと逃します。

## よくある誤読

ブレイクアウトはトレンド開始の確認として扱われがちですが、実際に示しているのは「ある水準が保たれなくなった」という事実だけです。前者は予測、後者は観察であり、別の主張です。方向が確認されたとしてブレイク地点で建玉を増やす設計は、失敗率が最も高い地点でリスクを積み増しています。
